Updos For Short Hair
For women with short hair, instead of trying in vain to gather your hair into one ponytail in preparation for your updo, consider using a lot of elastic instead. Section your hair into clumps, and fasten each clump with elastics close to each other at the back of your head. You may have to use 6 to 10 elastics. Use bobby pins to fasten these elastics to each other to create one big bun. You can sculpt each clump in such a way that it fans out, thus concealing the pins and elastics you used. In addition, If you choose elastics whose color blends into your hair, many people won't even know you ‘cheated' your way to a ponytail. Remember that this may take some time and practice, so be patient and try it out before the big day.
Another way to take advantage of your short hair is to abandon the notion that you can create an elegant, classic bun that can only be applicable to long hair. After curling your hair, spritz on some hairspray on a flat comb and run it through your hair, about an inch from your scalp. By doing this, your curls will be somewhat concentrated in an area at the back of your head, and you can keep your baby bangs from falling on your face.
